Tangent part two
We can also define tan θ by looking at a single right angled triangle.
We showed that tan θ = sin θ ÷ cos θ
We know that sin θ = O ÷ H
and cos θ = A ÷ H
so tan θ = (O ÷ H) ÷ (A ÷ H) = O ÷ A
tan θ is the opposite divided by the adjacent.
