How many degrees are there in a triangle?
Here is a triangle. Imagine we’ve drawn it on a piece of paper and coloured in the angles.
We could cut these angles off the triangle with a pair of scissors.
Then we could arrange the three angles together so that they can sit on a straight line. Since the angles are on a straight line, they must add to 180°.
We could do this with any triangle. All triangles have internal angles that add up to 180°.
