Expanding brackets

Some\times when we are manipulating equations, we need to expand brackets.

For example, we may have to expand 3(x + 5)

3(x + 5) is the same as 3\times(x + 5)

When we expand brackets, every term in the bracket is multiplied by the term outside the bracket

3(x + 5)

= 3\times x + 3\times5

= 3x +
