Numbers Part Two Sequence

A sequence is an ordered list of numbers or shapes that follow a rule or pattern.

The word sequence comes from the Latin word sequentia meaning to follow.

Here are some simple sequences of shapes. You should be able to see what shape comes next in the sequences.

Blue triangle follows then red circle and so on

Blue triangle follows then two red circles and so on

Here are some simple number sequences.

6 7 8 and so on

10 12 14 and so on

There are, of course, much more complex sequences than these.
