Relative frequencies part two

I re-ran the two dice experiment with 1000 trials. Again, x represents the sum of the numbers that were landed on.

The frequency table is below.

You can see the shape is closer to the shape of the probability distribution for x than it was for 144 trials.

Let’s look at the relative frequencies calculated from this experiment with 1000 trials.

How do these relative frequencies compare to the probability distribution and the relative frequencies I got from performing 144 trials.

The blue bars shows the probability distribution, the green bars show the relative frequencies from my experiment with 144 trials and the yellow bars show the relative frequencies from my experiment with 1000 trials.

The yellow bars are closer to the blue bars in general and there aren’t any big differences between the yellow and blue bars like there are between the green and blue at x = 3 and x = 10. It seems that a larger number of trials leads to a closer approximation of the probability distribution then a smaller number of trials does.
